Dear collegue,

the meeting of the Mediterranean Society of Plastic Aestehtic Surgery was held in Nice on April 13th 2003 at the end of our last Congress.

President of the next Congress is Dr.Micahel Sheflan (Israel) and the main topic will be a comparison between simple and complex procedures in aesthetic facial surgery.

            An executive committee was elected and for 2003 is composed by: Dr.Nahai (USA), Dr.Grisotti (Italy), Dr.Scheflan (Israel), Dr.Saad (UK) and  Dr.Lassus (France).

            Dr.Saad  was also elected secretary of the Society and Dr.Campiglio (Italy) secretary assistant.

            An annual fee for the subscription to our society has been voted and consists of 200 euro.

Full members can be only board certified plastic surgeons from a country in the mediterranean area. Associated members can be physicians involved in aestehtic surgery (e.g.dermatologist, ENT surgeons, ect) and corresponding members are board certified plastic surgeons from all other countries.

A special fee (150 euro) is reserved to in training members who are plastic surgeons from the mediterranean area completing a training program in plastic surgery.

The subscription fee for the next Congress will be 250 euro for the members of the society and 500 euro for the non members.

Finally deputy members from each country has been elected and invited to promote the society in their own country. These deputy members are Dr.Jemal (North Africa), Dr.Campiglio (Italy), Dr.Colic (Balcan countries), Dr.Scheflan (Israel), Dr.Nahai (USA), Dr. Saad (UK) and Dr.Sulaiman (Lebanon).

Dr.Costagliola (France), Dr.Shubailat (Giordania), Dr.Yacomettis (Greece), Dr.Erol (Turkey), Dr.Kadri (Egypt), Dr.Tazi (Maroc) have been proposed for their countries and they will be contacted by the secretary of the Society in order to know their disponibility.
